It's ironic that Chris Sparks had a dream of being a recording artist when he was four but reached his dream by accident more than 20 years later. A guitar player since he was fifteen, Chris never stepped up to the microphone because the spotlight was always on his talent as a guitarist. Until one day when a friend handed off a recording session he didn't want. Chris recorded 'scratch' vocals for nine songs. Several major radio stations got word of the demo and requested a CD. Chris returned to Nashville to record four more songs including 'Rub It In'. After the CD came out, Chris' reputation rocketed locally with interest spreading nationally. Chris accepted a few major concert requests and then decided to stop. "Everything happened so fast, I knew my level of talent live was not ready for the large concert requests we were getting." Three years later, Chris is emerging with more than 25 new songs ready to record and an experienced team of music professionals to promote his career. His voice and stage presence are stronger than ever. With a major CD slated for 2002, Chris plans to gear up promotion for his two 1998 releases.
